Noble Peacock Foil Pretty Peacock Christmas

Here is the last in the trio of Noble Peacock Foil Sheet cards. This one uses this card as #pinspiration, really it was just using the Scripty 3D and orientation and the rest came from the Noble Peacock Foil Old Olive Christmas card.

~Enjoy!

The background uses the Pretty Peacock from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets embossed with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. The border is cut from Whisper White and one of the Delicate Lace Dies. The sentiment is stamped with Pretty Peacock and a stamp from the Itty Bitty Stamp Set. For the ribbon, I  colored the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon with a Pretty Peacock Blends Marker, I love how the sparkle shows though after coloring it! The envelope is stamped with one of my favorite holiday borders from the Dashing Deer Stamp Set and Pretty Peacock, so elegant!

I decided to do all 3 card focals the same since I loved the Old Olive version so much. Tracy went with snowflakes for her cards, make sure to check it out! I cut Pretty Peacock with the Leaf Punch and topped that off with Ice Stampin' Glitter for extra holiday sparkle! The flower is cut from the large & small flowers from the Flourish Dies and White Glimmer Paper. More leaves were cut from Whisper White and Pool Party and Bouquet Bunch Dies.

Noble Peacock Foil Blueberry Bushel Christmas

Here is the second in the trio of Noble Peacock Foil Sheet cards. This was was also CASE-d from Pinterest.

~Enjoy!

The background uses the Blueberry Bushel from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets embossed with the Quilted Embossing Folder. The border is cut from Whisper White and one of the Delicate Lace Dies. The sentiment is stamped with Blueberry Bushel and a stamp from my stash. I roughed up the edges a little to give it a little more interest since it was hanging out all by itself away from the focal. The Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon is so pretty with Blueberry Bushel and Whisper White. The envelope is stamped with one of my favorite holiday borders from the Dashing Deer Stamp Set and Blueberry Bushel, so elegant!

I decided to do all 3 card focals the same since I loved the Old Olive version so much. Tracy went with snowflakes for her cards, check it out! Noble Peacock Foil Old Olive Christmas

For the last "card" of the day, Tracy & I picked 2 cards made with the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets to CASE and a third to convert so that we could
1) Use more DSP since we bought so much
2) Use one of each of the colors.
3) Use one of each of the Delicate Lace Dies
These cards are sooo pretty in person!

~Enjoy!

The background uses the Old Olive from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. The sentiment cut from Whisper White and one of the Delicate Lace Dies and then stamped with Granny Apple Green and the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set (I love the fonts in this sentiment). For the ribbon, I  colored the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon with a Pear Pizzazz Blends Marker, I love how the sparkle shows though after coloring it! The envelope is stamped with one of my favorite holiday borders from the Dashing Deer Stamp Set, so elegant!

For the accent pieces, even though it is for Christmas, I decided to stay with floral since I wanted the depth and colors. Tracy went with snowflakes for her cards. I cut some Pear Pizzazz with the Leaf Punch and topped that off with Ice Stampin' Glitter for extra holiday sparkle! The flower is cut from the large & small flowers from the Flourish Dies and White Glimmer Paper. More leaves were cut from Whisper White and Soft Sea Foam and Bouquet Bunch Dies.

See a Silhouette DSP Hexagons

A bonus Tracy day today, we started off with the Tracy See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper since we are trying our best to make sure to use the truckload that we bought!

~Enjoy!

We have been making an attempt to CASE the catalog for ideas, so we found this card on page 132 of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. I was not happy with the irregular cuts of the hexagons, so I decided to go grab my retired Hexagon Punch and cute the hexagons out of the paper & then I could create a uniform mat with white cardstock. The problem with this was that the punch was slightly bigger than the paper I had already cut out & white borders off, but as the pieces were lying on the table I noticed that some of them were upside down & I could not tell the difference between the trimmed white one & the back, so I grabbed some fresh sheets & cut a bunch of random ones. Trying to conserve some of the paper & not just go for the middle of a 12x12 piece of paper, I found it hard to find the deep green options, so this one turned out with the pinks instead, hence the change in background color to Crushed Curry.

The background is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder & the edges scruffed & sponged with Soft Suede. I layered a piece of Vellum over the hexagon border to give a little more definition the the flower sprig cut with White Glimmer Paper and the Well Written Dies. The Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon was colored with a Crumb Cake Blends Marker to soften the bright marigold. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso using the Waterfront Stamp Set and punched out with the retired Tiny Tags Punch (I love this punch it is soooo cute!). The envelope is stamped with Crushed Curry & the For All Things Stamp Set.

See a Silhouette DSP Flower

This card uses the See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper focusing on the large flower. Tracy & I CASE-d the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog on page 132.

~Enjoy!

This one pretty much copied the catalog piece by piece. The one exception I had is I did not have the die to create a fake embossing effect that was used in the original. A few weeks ago I came up with what I thought was an original idea to use a die and just mark the paper & not cut all the way through, creating faux embossing. Whoopsie! I must have subconsciously seen it somewhere else first, oh well. At the time when I was doing this I had created a white on white card base with the Detailed Peacock Dies feather, so for this card I started with a lot of the work already done!  A few fussy cut flowers from the See a Silhouette DSP is layered with the Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. I replaced the "inspire" from the original with "sympathy" from the Well Written Dies. I added a swatch of  Versamark to Basic Black Cardstock and embossing it with Black Embossing Powder and then cut out the words layered on Vellum.

Swirly Frames Christmas Pine Cones

Tracy and I decided to mash up 2 cards Swirly Frames and Christmas Pines Stamp Set and Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies.

~Enjoy!

I have never been a fan of the multi-layer stamping technique, although I find it interesting, none of the cards I have ever seen it done with have blown my socks off, but this was the challenge, so here we go! I cut the white focal piece and adhered it to the white background piece with one removable tape square. I decided to do this on my Stamparatus and I am certainly glad I did, because I did not get one clean stamped image, while Tracy had no problem at all with her card. After I stamped all of the Swirly Frames with Merry Merlot, I removed the white focal and matted it with more Merry Merlot, this is where the magic comes in, the mat hides the very small gap between the focal & background giving the illusion that you stamped all 3 layers at once!

The pine cones were cut with the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies and Copper Glimmer Paper from the Myths & Magic Paper Pack and Early Espresso. The pines were cut with the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets. The  Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon was colored with a Pear Pizzazz Blends Marker as well as coloring some rhinestones to match. The sentiment was stamped with the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set and  Black StayzOn on the Noble Peacock Foil and it was very hard, it was super slippery and smudged easily! The envelope is decorated with the Christmas Pines Stamp Set, Soft Suede and Pear Pizzazz.

Abstract Impressions Christmas Wreath

Today with Tracy we used a #pinspiration for this cute little wreath using the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set.

~Enjoy!

We decided on some almost traditional colors for this card with Merry Merlot and Shaded Spruce. The lighter shades are done by stamping off the original imprint before stamping on the card. For just winging the placement of the wreath, I think it came out pretty even around. The sentiment is done in Memento Black using the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set. I used the Shaded Spruce Blends Marker to color the Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon and layered that with some Silver Mini Sequin Trim. The flowers in the wreath are then topped with rhinestones to give it a little more Christmas sparkle!

Bird Ballad meets Sketch Challenge

Tracy had a sketch challenge to submit, and since we both had recently bought a ton of DSP we decided to focus on using some of it up! The rules were at least 3 to 4 pieces of DSP and the sketch!

~Enjoy!

The background and 2 strips of paper are cut from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper as well as the little bird. The background, strips and sentiment are all roughed up with a scissor edge & inked in Calypso Coral. The horizontal strip is embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder and sponged over the top with more Calypso Coral. The sentiment is from the Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set. The white & silver sprigs are done with the Flourish Dies and topping off the whole thing is a bow made with Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon. This ended up being my favorite card of the day, even though I am not a huge fan of Calypso Coral. Here was the #pinspiration!

CASE-ing Wonderful Moments

Another craft day with my friend Tracy, today we decided to CASE the catalog image on page 15 of the 2019-2020 Annual Stampin' Up! catalog!

~Enjoy!

Since neither one of us had a light wood background (I later discovered the paper on the original is from Come Sail Away DSP - which we both DID have) she chose the paper from Pressed Petals & I grabbed the envelope liner for the October 2019 Winter Woods Paper Pumpkin. The background is loads of technique. First I added additional Early Espresso ink randomly to give t just a little more depth. Then I gave the backside a little spritz of water & very carefully scrunched up the paper. I let that dry for a minute before cutting it into 6 equally sized planks. I then adhered those to white cardstock to give it some weight & the scruffed up the edges with my scissors. These are all layered a little wonky on a background of Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper & Early Espresso.

The sentiment is a little more work, after stamping with Pear Pizzazz and the Wonderful Moments Stamp Set and a Happy Birthday from my stash, I roughed up the edges again on this piece, then I pressed Crumb Cake lid into its own ink pad, gathered up the ink with an Aqua Painter & using the lid, flicked the background with some soft dots of color. One more thing of special not, I colored the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon with a Cherry Cobbler Blends Maker to get the Rich Razzleberry ribbon with sparkle, so pretty!

CASE-ing Noble Peacock and DSP

Last card for the day, we decided to CASE another card from the annual catalog & we got to use more DSP! This one CASE-s the little box on page 25.

~Enjoy!

The background uses the Noble Peacock Designer Series Paper layered over a few strips of Gold Glimmer Paper. The oval is cut from the Layering Ovals Dies. I cut various amounts of twigs from the Detailed Peacock Dies and the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets as well as some card stock ones with Blueberry Bushel, Pretty Peacock, Whisper White and Old Olive. I made the bow with the Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon and the Light Pretty Peacock Blends Marker. The sentiment is stamped with Pretty Peacock and Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set.

After I had the card done, I shared it with Tracy & she suggested to add some more white springs to brighten the card up, which it certainly did!

Brightly Gleaming DSP Easy Layout

Tracy had a layout that she was interested in replicating and we were focused for the day on using DSP, so we came up with these!

~Enjoy!

The background uses the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper, with it's copper foil is it so pretty in person! It is layered on a few strips of Copper Glimmer Paper from the retired Myths and Magic Glimmer Paper (no need to waste all of the inside by directly layering over a whole sheet! This is then sitting on top of a card base of Very Vanilla. To build the focal I raided my supply of ribbon, but what I found was this micro-wire mesh in a light tan with a very faint gold thread running through it I bought from Target years ago, this could be substituted with Cheesecloth. The pinecones and envelope elements are from the retired Christmas Pines Bundle but you could also use Peaceful Boughs Bundle. The sentiment is stamped with Soft Suede and the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set. The whole thing is topped off with a knot I had laying in my discard pile made with Delightful Dijon Mini Striped Ribbon. Make sure to check out Tracy's card!

I had a ton of leftover paper after I disassembled the bag I made at the Quarterly NC Demo day (I tend to not do or keep 3D items, I really screwed up the assembly at the event, and at the time I had no intention to buy the paper pack) which was laying on my table in the corner, so I grabbed that & came up with this alternative! I fussy cut some ornaments on the left, they show up much better in person and the sentiment is embossed with Copper Embossing Powder and the Tags Tags Tags Bundle. The Whisper White & Copper Baker's Twine is from a past Paper Pumpkin kit. The envelope stamp is from my stash and stamped in Mossy Meadow.

I embossed the large snowflakes with Versamark and White Embossing Powder. The sentiment is stamped in Pool Party and Early Espresso and run through my embossing machine with the Subtle Embossing Folder. A few rhinestones add a little bling and the whole thing is topped off with a bow made from the Whisper White Flax Ribbon. Winter Woods Paper Pumpkin Alternative Snow Trick

The woodgrain paper that came inside of the Winter Woods October 2019 Paper Pumpkin envelopes is so rich and pretty & looks amazing when embossing with white.

~Enjoy!

After I stamped the overall snow stamp with Versamark and White Embossing Powder, I wanted a little lighter coverage of snow so I went back over it with a Q-tip & strategically removed some of the dots before heat embossing. The banner is cut from Pool Party & stamped with Pool Party & the overall snowy stamp with hand cut fishtails & an edge that has been roughed up with scissors. The sentiment banner was cut into thirds & layered behind the snowy banner. The Sentiment is stamped with Early Espresso over a pool Party snowflake on Whisper White and then embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder. It was then edged with the silver edge from the envelopes and topped with one of the cute little cardinals. The whole things is them topped off with the Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon.

Winter Woods Paper Pumpkin Alternative Boxtop

I was a little disappointed when I saw the contents of the Winter Woods October 2019 Paper Pumpkin and the promo for the boxes which were really cute, so I decided to ditch the tress & make my own layout based on the November paper Pumpkin box!

~Enjoy!

I grabbed the inside of the envelope & trimmed it down to be even on a Whisper White card base. I then embossed the snowflake with Whisper White Embossing Powder & Versamark. I even placed the snowflakes approximately where they were as shown on the box & only added the allover snow stamp at the top. The sentiment is embossed with the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set and cut out with the Stitched Rectangle Dies and Pool Party. The whole thing is topped off with a double bow made from Whisper White Baker's Twine. So cute!!!

Winter Woods Paper Pumpkin Alternative Christmas Trees

I was having a really hard time seeing the Christmas tree card base with the birch tree cutouts in the Winter Woods October 2019 Paper Pumpkin. Her is what I came up with which is very simple, but I think elegant.

~Enjoy!

I trimmed down the background and ran it through my embossing machine with the Subtle Embossing Folder to give it a oil painting effect. This was trimmed out with the silver edging from the leftover envelopes I had cut apart for the woodgrain projects. It is topped with the Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon and then layered on Whisper White card base. I then added a double layer of hand cut snow with one of the layers popped up and a sentiment stamped in Memento Black Ink. I roughed up the top layer of the snow with my scissor edge. A few rhinestones in the night sky give the illusion of a starry night.

For a little added bling, I got out my trusty friend, Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter and adhered it with a little Shimmery Crystal Effects, look at the sparkle!

Winter Woods Paper Pumpkin Alternative Double Snowflake

Here is another card which solely focuses on the stamp set included in the Winter Woods October 2019 Paper Pumpkin.

~Enjoy!

I first stamped a layer of Night of Navy snowflakes in an all over pattern for placement. I then went back in & strategically added an additional layer of snowflakes over the first one to give it a unique pattern from the plain one. The top left one is done in navy both times and the bottom right one has one done in navy & one done in Pool Party. The background also has a layer of Pool Party all over snow and is layered on a piece of Night of Navy cardstock. A strip of Pool Party is embossed with the Corrugated Embossing Folder & trimmed with a few strips of Silver Glimmer Paper. The banners are hand cut from Night of Navy and the bow is made from the Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon. The sentiment is tamped with Night of Navy & the snow in Pool Party and trimmed with the retired Decorative Label Punch. The envelopes snow is done in Smokey Slate.

Boy, oh, boy! Is Paper Pumpkin really stepping up the images in their stamps, this is one of the prettiest sets I have seen and I have wanted to use every stamp!  For this card from the Winter Woods October 2019 Paper Pumpkin, I strictly wanted to focus on the stamps.

~Enjoy!

I stamped the background Whisper White with Real Red using the large snowflake stamp. I then layered that with the all over snow stamp with Versamark and Black Embossing Powder, then the whole thing is layered on a piece of Basic Black. I ran a strip of Real Red though my embossing machine with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder and bordered that with the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon and added a bow. Winter Woods Paper Pumpkin Pool Party

The boxes for the Winter Woods October 2019 Paper Pumpkin are so pretty! I just had to replicate them on a card!

~Enjoy!

I embossed the background Pool Party with the Woodland Embossing Folder. I cut the trees off of the snowbank & moved them over to group them layering the supplied bird in between them. I added a few snowflake sequins supplied. I stamped the sentiment with Poppy Parade and hand cut a banner that I popped up with dimensionals.  The bow is made from the Silver Edge Ribbon and I added a bit of sparkle using the Ice Stampin' Glitter and Shimmery Crystal Effects on the snowbank and in the crooks of the trees.

The sentiment is stamped with Soft Suede. Topping it off is a double bow made with White Baker's Twine. I may go back & add a bit of sparkle using the Ice Stampin' Glitter and Shimmery Crystal Effects in the crooks of the trees. The next 3 cards of the #OneSheetWonder were kind of all built at the same time & I went back and forth, the fox and the deer changed layouts several times.

~Enjoy!

For the background I embossed a piece of Whisper White with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder layered over Mossy Meadow. I added a strip of the Garen Lane DSP and framed it with Gold Glimmer Paper and Old Olive. The deer is stamped in Soft Suede and cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I then cut out some Mossy Meadow using the Frosted Frames Dies and trimmed it down to fit the deer frame. The sentiment is stamped with the Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink and the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set. The whole thing is topped off with a double bow of retired Gold Metallic Thread.

Here is the paper cutting template. This card uses 4 1/2 x 2 1/4 cut.

Garden Lane meets Nature's Beauty Easter

This is the first one I tackled using two of the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper #OneSheetWonder pieces measuring 2 3/4 x 1 7/8.

~Enjoy!

I recently made a Halloween card with this layout and thought it would be an easy way to start with this challenge. All layers & inks are Mossy Meadow except the bunny was stamped with Soft Suede. I flipped the leafy primary piece I would be using over to reveal the more Mint Macaron piece and layered them both with Mossy Meadow. For the background I embossed a piece of Whisper White with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. I added a strip of green across the front & stamped it with the leaves stamp from the Nature's Beauty Stamp Set and trimmed it with a few strips of Silver Glimmer Paper. The bunny was cut using the Ornate Frames Dies. The sentiment is from a really old Stampin' Up! retired set and the whole thing is topped off with a bow made from the Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon. The envelope is decorated with the border stamp from the Dashing Deer Stamp Set.

Here is the paper cutting template. This card uses the two middle bottom pieces.

One Sheet Wonder Garden Lane DSP

After the last debacle that was the #OneSheetWonder, Tracy & I decided to try it again with only a single Stamp set.

~Enjoy!

This time we chose a 6x6 piece of paper from the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper and the Natures' Beauty Stamp Set. Check out each card:

Monster Bash DSP Halloween Countess

This Monster Bash DSP is sooo super cute! Here is another quick card & its #pinspiration.

~Enjoy!

For the background, I sprinkled some Daffodil Delight Pigment Sprinkles on Whisper White cardstock & gave it a little spritz with a Stampin' Spritzer. I then embossed it with the Stylish Scrolls Embossing Folder. The sentiment is a strip of Pumpkin Pie with a Memento Black sentiment stamped with a stamp from my stash. The Countess's mat is cut from Ornate Frames Dies and Basic Black. The Spider web & Random Ghouls papers are the incredibly cute Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. The swatch of Black Glimmer Paper is retired. The whole thing is topped off with a tidy know made from the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon. The envelope is stamped with the cat from the Wonderfully Wicked Stamp Set.

Monster Bash DSP Halloween Bats

After making up about 35 Halloween cards, I just needed a few more quickies and I found a really simple one for #pinspirtation, well, let's just call this one a CASEd one.

~Enjoy!

The background is Whisper White embossed with the Stylish Scrolls Embossing Folder. The sentiment is a strip of Pumpkin Pie with a Memento Black sentiment stamped from the Wonderfully Wicked Stamp Set layered with a border cut from the Delicate Lace Dies. The bat's mat is cut from a  die from my stash as well as the swatch for Black Glimmer Paper. The batty paper is from the super cute Monster Bash Designer Series Paper.

Monster Bash DSP Halloween Vampiress

Boo! To you! I love Halloween and this year, Stampin' Up's Monster Bash Designer Series Paper is so super cute!!! I just moved & got rid of 95% of all my paper, but this one is a must have to restock!

~Enjoy!

The background and vampire (isn't she the cutest?) is cut from the Monster Bash DSP. She is framed with a cut from the Ornate Frames Dies and Basic Black. The sentiment is a strip of white cardstock with a Pumpkin Pie Wicked stamped from the Wonderfully Wicked Stamp Set. Now comes the scary part...I cut the Happy Halloween apart! EEEEEK! Then I stamped the "Have a" and "Halloween" in Memento Black. I added a few rhinestones colored with the Basic Black Blends Marker.

I just love these little portraits of the creepy ghouls and goblins. All this little skelton needs is a neck tie! This sentiment has a little black edge around the sentiment as well.

Watercolor Pumpkins

This card uses the watercolor technique, and it was sent out as one of my Halloween cards this year.

~Enjoy!

This card is based on a collection of cards using watercolor techniques as backgrounds. For this one, I used assorted fall colors of the Watercolor Pencils and Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2. The majority of the color is Crushed Curry with a little Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze. After I "colored" the background, I went over it with an Aqua Painter pen to soften & blend the colors. After that dries (or using a heat tool to set), I stamped these oh so cute pumpkins and sentiment (I think they came as a bonus gift with one of the Paper Pumpkin kits) with Stayz-On Black Ink. I then added some more watercolor pencils to color the pumpkins & stems. The background is then layered with Mossy Meadow & sits on a Whisper White card base. To top it off, I added some Braided Linen Trim, Mini-Sequin Trim and Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim. I love these little pumpkins, they may be my favorite in my collection!

Gather Together Halloween Soft Sea Foam

I just love the contrast for this card from the traditional Halloween colors, it is so soft & pretty. This card went to someone who is not all about the ghouls and goblins that come with the holiday.

~Enjoy!

This card is pretty much a direct copy from AEStamps a Latte. I stamped the pumpkins in Soft Sea Foam ink and cut them with the Gathered Leaves Dies. The leaves emboss and cut at the same time using the Gathered Leaves Dies, Mint Macaron & Soft Sea Foam.  I sponged the them with Mint Macaron to make the texture of the leaves really pop and slathered them with Wink of Stella. The 2 background papers are from the Come To Gather DSP pack and the stripes are embossed with the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder. I did add just a little strip of Silver Glimmer Paper to add a little more zip to the card. I stamped Mint Macaron & Soft Sea Foam on Whisper White using the Country Home Stamp Set and layered all my pumpkins & leaves on top of a good swirl of Silver Thread. The Sentiment is from my stash.

Gather Together Halloween Pumpkins

Here is another card I received from the North Carolina Demonstrator meeting. On the original the pumpkins were vertical, so I flipped the card to make it horizontal instead.

~Enjoy!

The background is...plain! This is probably the first time in a very long time where  have not embossed the background! The pumpkins were stamped with Memento Black and the Harvest Hellos Stamp Set and punched with the Apple Builder Punch and the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper. The leaf was hand cut and stamped on Mint Macaron. The sentiment & pumpkins stems are done in Soft Suede. The whole thing is topped off with a double bow made from Linen Thread. The patchwork pumpkin stamp on the envelope was stamped with Mint Macaron and then I used a dauber to apply stripes of Pretty Peacock to give it 2 colors.
