NC Demos Blog Hop March 2020 Lovely Lipstick

Here is the Lovely Lipstick card used for the NC Demos Blog Hop for March 2020, which challenged us to use our favorite retiring 2018-2020 In Colors, and make a monochromatic masterpiece. This one turned out to be one of my favorites when Tracy & I got together to work on the challenge and made all 5.

~Enjoy!

We had a little pinspiration for this one. I fussy cut the flowers from the Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper and inked up the flowers with a sponge dauber using Lovely Lipstick the leaves are lightly colored with Soft Sea Foam (oops, broke the rules again!). The background paper is from the 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper sampler and layered over a Whisper White card base. The bow was made with the 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and a knot of Whisper White Polka Dot Tuelle. The sentiment is stamped with Lovely Lipstick using the Very Versailles Stamp Set and cut with Stitched So Sweetly Dies. The envelope is stamped with the Tasteful Textures Stamp Set.

Now go check out these other amazing projects!!

Here is the collection and you can get the details for each card below!

NC Demos Blog Hop March 2020 Pineapple Punch

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop for March 2020! Here are the guidelines:

It is almost time to say goodbye to the 2018-2020 In Colors, so I thought this month we could share our In Color Monochromatic Masterpieces using our favorite retiring In Color.

Your project can ONLY use one of the retiring In Colors. You MAY use Whisper White or Vanilla cardstock and Black ink (Foil colors are ok too!). ALL other ink and cardstock MUST be your single retiring In Color.

So when Tracy & I got together, we decided to make one for each color, see the collection!

~Enjoy!

We used a little inspiration for this background paper card. I tore the edges of the Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper and inked up the flowers with a sponge dauber. For the larger flowers I gave it a couple of coats to make them darker & the smaller flowers only a light tap to keep them lighter to give the background some more interest. I also crunched up the paper, but did not like the result, so instead I ran it through my embossing machine with the Stone 3D Embossing Folder.

A strip of Pineapple Punch was embossed with the Corrugated Embossing Folder and all tied up with a piece of Whisper White Baker's Twine. The sentiment is stamped with Memento Black Ink and the Wonderful Moments Stamp Set. I ran the sentiment though my dies cut machine with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies using the second largest die, then turning it 90 degrees & cutting it again.

The envelope is stamped with the flowers from the Sweetly Swirled Stamp Set.

No Matter the Weather Paper Pumpkin Alternative Bunny

The March 2020 No Matter the Weather Paper Pumpkin kit had such cute artwork in it, although I was not a  huge fan of the boots! Take a peek at what I did with them below!

~Enjoy!

I noticed that the polka dot boots that came with the No Matter the Weather Paper Pumpkin kit matched the Cajun Craze polka dots from the the Regals 6x6 Designer Series Paper pack. I cut down the card front a little on the top & bottom to better center it on an A2 card base. I cut out the center of the card front using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and popped up the center. I layered the whole thing on white. I flipped over the blue banner and stamped with with Cajun Craze & an Easter wish from my stock. Like I said, I did not really care for the boots, so I turned them into planter pots. I cut off the bottom part of the boot & then layered a little white to match the white border the rest of the artwork had.  The ribbon is from the April 2015 Love You a Lot Paper Pumpkin kit.
