No Bones About It - #simplestamping

I really struggle with the Stampin' Up!s #simplestamping concept, I am a true blue #avidcrafter at heart. Here are the #simplestamping cards using the center part of the baroque frame from Very Versailles all dressed up!

~Enjoy!

So these shapes made me think of rocks which made me think of Dinosaurs. Stampin' Up! has a new set of dinos called Dino Days that would be really cute on this card or maybe even some coffee cups from past sets. I decided to go with Dinosaurs since I made the decision with the sentiment and decide to go just a little snarky for my card.

I pulled out my retired dino set called No Bones About It. I have only used this set once or twice, but just love it! My dino was stamped with Early Espresso and Sahara Sand. The leaves are Tropical Dies and cut with Gold Glimmer paper, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Vellum. The leaves are softly sponged with more Soft Suede to give them a little texture. The edge of the card and the sentiment are scruffed with scissors and edged with more ink. Braided Linen Trim adds the final touch. I think this turned out super cute for the perfect friend you would like to tease a little about their age or for a boy and change the sentiment.

On My Mind Paper Pumpkin Alternative Meets Flourish Dies

One last card using the Bendell stripe envelope liner from the July 2019 On My Mind Paper Pumpkin.

~Enjoy!

The background is one of the Kraft card bases provided with the kit stamped with Soft Suede and the Very Versailles Stamp Set. A piece of the Bendell stripe DSP from the envelope liner is layered with a border of Old Olive and stamped with Old Olive and the Very Versailles Stamp Set. The Pear Pizzazz circle came with the kit and is stamped with Pear Pizzazz and the stripe from the Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set. The flourish is cut from the Well Written Dies and the flower is from the Flourish Dies cut with Gold Glimmer Paper. A few sequins add a little bling as well as a double bow made from Gold Trim. The sentiment is from my stash and stamped with Old Olive and the envelope elements come from the Soft Spring Stamp Set and stamped with Old Olive Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron.

On My Mind Paper Pumpkin Alternative Soft Suede Medallions

In was trying to sue the medallion stamp from the July 2019 On My Mind Paper Pumpkin in several was, so for his one I CASE-d from my bestie Tracy, make sure to check out her version!

~Enjoy!

This card could be a very easy card for a beginner with such a regal outcome! For the background I started with a Soft Suede card base that was stamped with the flourish from the Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set and Soft Suede. The medallions are stamped on Sahara Sand with Crumb Cake and layered on Whisper White and Gold Glimmer Paper. The sentiment is stamped with the same flourish and Soft Suede and the text is from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set. I added some retired Gold Trim and a bow made with the Braided Linen Trim, so pretty!

St. Patrick's Day 2019

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I have had this little QuicKutz polaroid die for years and finally found a good use for it! The first card was the original idea and the others came from the leftovers of the original. I had only planned on doing about 12 cards, but by the time I got done I think I sent out about 40!

~Enjoy!

I cut the polaroid die out of Gold Glimmer paper as well as the 17 using the retired Large Number framelits. The shamrocks were cut from another old QuicKutz die and the retired Myths & Magic and the Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper sets. The backgrounds of Whisper White and Shaded Spruce were embossed with the Swirls & Curls Embossing folder. March was cut from a die form my stash as well as the ribbon accent.

Once I had cut my polaroid out, I was left with all of these squares! Thinking ahead, I strategically cut out all of my 17s I needed for the above card, so I could reuse the scrap for this card! This one uses the same basic materials as above as well as some scrap Christmas paper as the background and more ribbon from my stash - I have a TON of ribbon!

Once again, after I cut all of my shamrocks for the first 2 cards I had all of these little scrapped squares leftover, so I trimmed them all up to the same size and wha-la! The white background is embossing with a polka dot embossing folder and the retired Gold Cord from a few years ago. The envelopes for all 3 were decorated with the shamrock from the Amazing Life stamp set
