Black Magnolia Lane DSP with Mossy Meadow

For this card using the large magnolias with the black background from the Magnolia Lane DSP paper pack. This paper is my favorite!

The card base is Whisper White, layered with Mossy Meadow that has been embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. I added the large magnolias with the black background. The sentiment is cut from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies and stamped with Mossy Meadow and the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set on Whisper White. The bow is made from the Whisper White 1/4" Seam Binding Ribbon and it is layered on a twist of Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Silver Thread. I fussy cut one of the magnolias from the paper with the black background to add to the sentiment top. The envelope is stamped with the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set and inked with Blends. Make sure to pop over & see the white version and those two side by side!

White Magnolia Lane DSP with Mossy Meadow

For this card using the large magnolias with the white background from the Magnolia Lane DSP paper pack, I cased a card I made for the Hugs From Shelli Paper Pumpkin from May 2019 and I think it turned out great again!

The card base is Whisper White, layered with Mossy Meadow that has been embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. I added the large magnolias with the white background. The sentient is cut from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies and stamped with Mossy Meadow and the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set on Whisper White. The bow is made by coloring the Whisper White 1/4" Seam Binding Ribbon with a Dark Petal Pink Blends marker and it is layered on a twist of Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Silver Thread. I fussy cut one of the magnolias from the paper with the black background. The envelope is stamped with the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set and inked with Blends. Black Magnolia Lane DSP with Petal Pink

This Magnolia Lane DSP with the black background is so gorgeous, I can not stop creating with it! I think this one is my favorite.

The card base is Whisper White, layered with Petal Pink that has been embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. I added a strip of the large magnolias on the black background and layered that on a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock. The sentient is stamped with a stamp from my stash and Versamark, embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Mossy Meadow. It is then hand cut and then layered again on Whisper White with a tiny border of Whisper White. I added a sliver of Silver Glimmer Paper to add a little bling, because ... why not? The bow is made with the Whisper White 1/4" Seam Binding Ribbon and it is layered on a twist of Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Silver Thread. The envelope is stamped with the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set and inked with Blends. Make sure to pop over & see the white version and those two side by side!

White Magnolia Lane DSP with Petal Pink

Tracy & I had a play date last week and she had this sketch as something we wanted to do. I thought it was a cute basic design & would look great with the Magnolia Lane DSP! I love it when I am right!

The card base is Whisper White, layered with Petal Pink that has been embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. I added a strip of the large magnolias on the white background and layered that on a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock. The sentient is stamped with a stamp from my stash and Versamark, embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Mossy Meadow, hand cut and then layered again on Whisper White with the tiniest of borders. I added a sliver of Silver Glimmer Paper to add a little bling, because honestly, who doesn't love bling?! The bow is made by coloring the Whisper White 1/4" Seam Binding Ribbon with a Dark Petal Pink Blends marker and it is layered on a twist of Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Silver Thread. The envelope is stamped with the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set and inked with Blends. Make sure to pop over & see the black version and those two side by side! These might be my favorite duo.

Black Magnolia Lane DSP with Crumb Cake

I just love the black background paper with the magnolias from the Magnolia Lane DSP, it so striking and makes beautiful cards!

I layered Crumb Cake that has been embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder over a card base of Whisper White. I added 2 patterns from the Magnolia Lane DSP as banners. The center strip is stamped with the Very Versailles Stamp Set and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Mossy Meadow. The sentient is cut from the Trio of Tags Dies, stamped with Mossy Meadow and edged with a little Wink of Stella. The little hearts are also cut from the Trio of Tags Dies. The bow is made with Very Vanilla 3/8" Scalloped Lace Trim and it is layered on a twist of Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Silver Thread. I added some sequins from various assorted packs for the finishing touch. The envelope is stamped with the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set and inked with Blends. Take a look at how different the white version came out those two side by side!

CASE-ing Wonderful Moments

Another craft day with my friend Tracy, today we decided to CASE the catalog image on page 15 of the 2019-2020 Annual Stampin' Up! catalog!

Since neither one of us had a light wood background (I later discovered the paper on the original is from Come Sail Away DSP - which we both DID have) she chose the paper from Pressed Petals & I grabbed the envelope liner for the October 2019 Winter Woods Paper Pumpkin. The background is loads of technique. First I added additional Early Espresso ink randomly to give t just a little more depth. Then I gave the backside a little spritz of water & very carefully scrunched up the paper. I let that dry for a minute before cutting it into 6 equally sized planks. I then adhered those to white cardstock to give it some weight & the scruffed up the edges with my scissors. These are all layered a little wonky on a background of Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper & Early Espresso.

The sentiment is a little more work, after stamping with Pear Pizzazz and the Wonderful Moments Stamp Set and a Happy Birthday from my stash, I roughed up the edges again on this piece, then I pressed Crumb Cake lid into its own ink pad, gathered up the ink with an Aqua Painter & using the lid, flicked the background with some soft dots of color. One more thing of special not, I colored the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon with a Cherry Cobbler Blends Maker to get the Rich Razzleberry ribbon with sparkle, so pretty!
