Black Magnolia Lane DSP with Mossy Meadow

For this card using the large magnolias with the black background from the Magnolia Lane DSP paper pack. This paper is my favorite!

~Enjoy!

The card base is Whisper White, layered with Mossy Meadow that has been embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. I added the large magnolias with the black background. The sentiment is cut from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies and stamped with Mossy Meadow and the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set on Whisper White. The bow is made from the Whisper White 1/4" Seam Binding Ribbon and it is layered on a twist of Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Silver Thread. I fussy cut one of the magnolias from the paper with the black background to add to the sentiment top. The envelope is stamped with the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set and inked with Blends. Make sure to pop over & see the white version and those two side by side!

It is then hand cut and then layered again on Whisper White with a tiny border of Whisper White. I added a sliver of Silver Glimmer Paper to add a little bling, because ... why not? Black Magnolia Lane DSP with Crumb Cake

I just love the black background paper with the magnolias from the Magnolia Lane DSP, it so striking and makes beautiful cards!

~Enjoy!

I layered Crumb Cake that has been embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder over a card base of Whisper White. I added 2 patterns from the Magnolia Lane DSP as banners. The center strip is stamped with the Very Versailles Stamp Set and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Mossy Meadow. The sentient is cut from the Trio of Tags Dies, stamped with Mossy Meadow and edged with a little Wink of Stella. The little hearts are also cut from the Trio of Tags Dies. The bow is made with Very Vanilla 3/8" Scalloped Lace Trim and it is layered on a twist of Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Silver Thread. I added some sequins from various assorted packs for the finishing touch. The envelope is stamped with the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set and inked with Blends. Magnolia Lane Christmas

This card uses the 2" x 4" strip from Magnolia Lane for our  #onesheetwonder

~Enjoy!

The background is embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder in Basic Black. The frame is cut from Silver Glimmer Paper using the Frosted Frames Dies. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Christmas stamped in Mossy Meadow. The Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon is colored with Real Red Blends Markers and the flower is from Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set.

Here is the paper cutting template that I obtained from my wonderful group of North Carolina Demonstrators! For the right column however, we just cut one strip that was used on the pink card. See wheat Tracy did for her Magnolia Lane card! Here is Tracy's card with the same sized strip and here is her Christmas card.

Gift of Fall meets Detailed Peacock

The August 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit, The Gift of Fall offered many challenges due to the overwhelming color selection available, but the one that was the hardest for me was what to do with the add on kit Pretty Peacock wreath cards.

~Enjoy!

At first I cut them into scalloped circles and that was not sparking my creativity. Then I wondered what they would look like cut using the Delicate Lace Dies. Since the pattern of the leaves was really intricate and the dies was intricate, there was not enough of a pattern to have it not look like it had any direction. Then I thought of the Detailed Peacock Dies. I did not have great expectations for this one since the Delicate Lace Dies failed so dramatically and had 12 of them, so why not? But I was pleasantly surprised! Look how pretty this came out! The train is centered over the wreath and the crest just made it into the Crumb Cake border. Isn't he beautiful?

Now my sister had an absolute passion for all things peacock and I bought this die with her in mind, so I decided to make this guy into her birthday card since it is in December. Once again, I was struggling with what to do with him since he did not really look great on anything I tried except for white, which was a little too boring.

I started off with coloring some Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon. To color the ribbon, I took my Pretty Peacock Ink Refill and dropped a few drops onto a craft mat and added a few spritzes of water, then doused my ribbon into the mixture and set it aside to dry. Never wanting to be wasteful. I usually grab a piece of cardstock to sop up the leftovers. I happened to have a piece that was embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing folder sitting on my desk, leftover from another project. So I dragged it through the ink from all directions and I love the results!!!

I added another piece of leftover Vellum embossed with Swirls and Curls to give it a little more interest and separation from the background. The sentiment is from Magnolia Blooms stamped in Pretty peacock with the reverse side of the tag that came in the Paper Pumpkin and backed with Silver Glimmer Paper. The whole thing is mounted on Pretty Peacock cardstock and the envelope was stamped with Beautiful Peacock from Sale-a-Bration a few years ago. I think my sister is going to LOVE it!

Hello Cupcake - #simplestamping

This little #simplestamping card reminded me of rose petals and I thought that is where the #avidstamper card would end up, but I do not care too much for rose stamps so I did not have a great selection to choose from, so it ended up somewhere completely unexpected!

~Enjoy!

The Sentiment is from the Magnolia Blooms set and the colors are Merry Merlot, Rococo Rose and retired Powder Pink.

I played and played with card & could not get anything to work, so I abandoned all hope and decided to pull out a classic, Hello Cupcake! Topping the whole this is the Polk Dot Tulle Ribbon.

Very Versailles Red Rubber Alternatives - #simplestamping

While I was crafting with my friend Tracy, I asked her is she happened to keep the little piece of red rubber that was inside the baroque frame in the Very Versailles stamp set. She asked me what I was going to do with it and I told her #simplestamping or course. You may have seen other ideas where the dot was used for cow spots, but since I don't have the cow set I have to come up with some other fun creations!

For me, #simplestamping is ink, stamps and paper. The one thing I have to have is a single layer even if it is white on white. It just adds so much to the card.

~Enjoy!

This first card, I was not really sure where I was going with it, I was just adding ink to paper. As I got done it reminded me of rocks. This month's Stampin' Up! #simplestamping challenge was for Birthdays, so I dug out my Itty Bitty Birthdays & found this sentiment. Everytime I ready it, I read it as an age jab not as it is written. So when I saw these brown "rocks" I thought this was cute like you are older than dirt. I eventually used this card base to create a dinosaur card. It also reminded me of coffee beans & I may circle back and make a coffee card out of it. The colors for this card are Early Espresso, Soft Suede and Sahara Sand stamped on Crumb Cake.

I wanted to create one with lots of colors, but this one turned out really bright!!! The shapes can be eggs or jelly beans, so it became more of an Easter card than anything else. I added a strip of removable tape across the bottom to mask off a strip for the sentiment & then just stamped away! Sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set. The colors used are Coastal Cabana, Rococo Rose, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather.

Again, no real direction with this card, just wanted to have an ombre color effect. The shapes reminded me of rose petals and I thought that is where the #avidstamper card would end up, but I do not care too much for rose stamps so I did not have a great selection to choose from, so it ended up somewhere completely unexpected! The Sentiment is from the Magnolia Blooms set and the colors are Merry Merlot, Rococo Rose and retired Powder Pink.

As I was doing the ones above, I kept seeing a path. Since I already did the brown ones, I thought that this would be cute in yellow, as a yellow brick road. I needed a sentiment that built upon my Oz theme and found this one in the Sea of Textures set. The hearts on the envelope are from Celebrate with Cake. The colors used are So Saffron, Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody.

One more idea I had to get out of my head, maybe since the 4th of july just passed and it was America's birthday! This flag is created with Pacific Point and Real Red and the sentiment is again from Itty Bitty Birthdays.
