Winter Woods Paper Pumpkin Alternative Double Snowflake

Here is another card which solely focuses on the stamp set included in the Winter Woods October 2019 Paper Pumpkin.

~Enjoy!

I first stamped a layer of Night of Navy snowflakes in an all over pattern for placement. I then went back in & strategically added an additional layer of snowflakes over the first one to give it a unique pattern from the plain one. The top left one is done in navy both times and the bottom right one has one done in navy & one done in Pool Party. The background also has a layer of Pool Party all over snow and is layered on a piece of Night of Navy cardstock. A strip of Pool Party is embossed with the Corrugated Embossing Folder & trimmed with a few strips of Silver Glimmer Paper. The banners are hand cut from Night of Navy and the bow is made from the Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon. The sentiment is tamped with Night of Navy & the snow in Pool Party and trimmed with the retired Decorative Label Punch. The envelopes snow is done in Smokey Slate.

#simplestamping with Beauty Abounds Color Challenge Fall

For the next project Tracy & had chosen the color combo of Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie for a fall theme using the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set.

~Enjoy!

We did have a small spark of inspiration from a Pinterest pin, but, I really just went where the stamp set sent me. I was not overly excited about how my large circles were stamping with such a distinct outline and no center, but if you do not expect the stamp to stamp as pictured on the box, it gives it a really cool effect. I used the stamp from this month's Paper Pumpkin The Gift of Fall.

For this second one I just decided to keep it simple, using the same products as above and just a clean stripe across the card. I really like how this came out and would be great for a #simplestamping class.

The this card, I had to go for & really dress it up. This takes the original card, turns it sideways and add lots of layers! I stamped the flourish in Crushed Curry on Crushed Curry for the yellow stripe and backed it with Gold Glimmer paper. The leaves are cut from the retired Bird Builder Punch. The tag is cut from the retired Decorative Label Punch and the whole thing is topped off with the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and a multi loop bow made with the Linen Thread. This works much better as a background over a focal #simplestamping project.

The last card, I used the same products as above & trimmed down the second #simplestamping card to a focal point. I stamped the flourish in Cajun Craze on Cajun Craze for the banner & gave it a fishtail cut. The stripe underneath is stamped with the 3 colors and the Birch Background Stamp. The splats are stamped in Pumpkin Pie on Pumpkin Pie and the whole thing is topped with Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Whisper White Baker's Twine. Make sure you go see what Tracy did with her cards!!!

On My Mind Paper Pumpkin Alternative Blue Compass

For this alternate for the July 2019 On My Mind Paper Pumpkin, I ended up CAES-ing myself as well as a creating it in a few other colors!

~Enjoy!

For the background, I stamped the lines stamp from the Lily Pad Lake Stamp Set with Night of Navy on Seaside Spray and it is layered on a Whisper White card base & topped with a piece of DSP from the envelope liner. I liked another card so much, I decided to duplicate it with the compass stamp. I stamped the compass on Whisper White and alternated Night of Navy & Seaside Spray inks. The whole thing is then roughed up with a scissor edge. The seaweed is cut with the Smooth Sailing Dies and one of the sprigs uses the Noble Peacock Specialty DSP to give it a little masculine bling as well as Vellum. The sentiment is cut with the retired Decorative Label Punch and edged with some sponged Soft Suede. The envelope and sentiment use additional elements from the Sea of Textures Stamp Set. The  finishing touch is a bow made with the Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Bakers Twine.

On My Mind Paper Pumpkin Alternative Peacock Butterfly

I just loved the Pretty Peacock envelope liner from the July 2019 On My Mind Paper Pumpkin and it really inspired me and here I to repurposed a favorite layout.

~Enjoy!

For the background I layered a piece of DSP from the envelope liner and some Crumb Cake layered over a Whisper White card base. I wanted to use the medallion stamp included in the kit and remembered a similar layout that I had done before. I stamped the medallion on Whisper White with Pretty Peacock. I then sponged the edges of all 3 layered elements with Soft Suede as well as the sentiment cut with the Decorative Label Punch. The butterfly is from the Beauty Abounds Dies cut in Coastal Cabana and some retired Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper from the Myths & Magic Paper Pack. The sentiment is one of my favorite birthday sentiments from my stash. I ran some Vellum through my embossing machine with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder and tied the whole thing up with a bow made from the Braided Linen Trim.

Spring Retreat - All Adorned

Her are some more ideas from my last retreat day. I borrowed my friend Shannon's All Adorned Stamp Set since I was traveling. It make some really spectacular cards!

~Enjoy!

This one I started with a CASEd card from Pinterest. I switched out the colors for Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Basic Gray and Very Vanilla. The sentiment is from Hello Cupcake. I used the retired Decorative Label Punch and the Bitty Butterfly Punch. The Ribbon is from the Sale-a-Bration Ribbon pack and the butterfly is topped off with some rhinestones. The navy background is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder. I just love how this came out!

I loved it so much in fact, I created a second one in red! This one uses the same elements but in Merry Merlot, Memento Black, Basic Gray and Very Vanilla. I used the Everyday Label Punch for the sentiment & it is topped off with the ribbon from my stash. I colored the butterfly's rhinestones with the Cherry Cobbler Blends Marker & then darkened it with the Soft Suede Stampin' Blends Marker. The sentiment is from Firefly.

This last one was switched up a bit using a single line of medallions. The colors are Bermuda Bay, Memento Black, Sahara Sand and Pool Party. The background is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder. Happy Birthday is cut from Well Written Dies. A piece of vellum anchors the sentiment and the copper and white Baker's Twine is from Layer Leaves Paper Pumpkin. The butterfly's rhinestones are colored with Bronze Stampin' Blends Markers. It is oh so pretty!

Spring Retreat - Builder Birdcage

Aren't these little birds just the cutest? The Builder Birdcage stamp set is super flexible and super cute! This first card I made for someone who let me constantly borrow her Cuttlebug machine since I was traveling. I did bring my own plates and luckily she was very sweet to let me borrow her machine - thanks Nancy!

Her daughter was clearing out her paper stash, so the envelope flap was covered in one of those papers I picked up for cheap and since I was hand delivering it to her, it was safe to cover just the back flap. The color combo I used was Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo and then I embossed the card front after stamping with the Tufted embossing folder.

~Enjoy!

I CASEd myself from the Day by Day challenge with the eggs all lined up. I lined up these cute birdies in Memento Black, Blackberry Bliss and Crumb Cake. The sentiment was stamped on Crumb Cake and cut with the Decorative Label punch.

I CASEd the background from Pinterest for this one and switched up the colors and then waited until I got home to add all the additional layers of the bird cage and the sprigs. Super cute, this one ended up going to my friend Louise for her birthday! I used Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo and Powder Pink. The birdcage was an old die I have had for years and the sprigs are from Flourish Thinlits and Bouquet Bunch Thinlits.
