Noble Peacock Foil Pretty Peacock Christmas

Here is the last in the trio of Noble Peacock Foil Sheet cards. This one uses this card as #pinspiration, really it was just using the Scripty 3D and orientation and the rest came from the Noble Peacock Foil Old Olive Christmas card.

~Enjoy!

The background uses the Pretty Peacock from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets embossed with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. The border is cut from Whisper White and one of the Delicate Lace Dies. The sentiment is stamped with Pretty Peacock and a stamp from the Itty Bitty Stamp Set. For the ribbon, I  colored the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon with a Pretty Peacock Blends Marker, I love how the sparkle shows though after coloring it! The envelope is stamped with one of my favorite holiday borders from the Dashing Deer Stamp Set and Pretty Peacock, so elegant!

I decided to do all 3 card focals the same since I loved the Old Olive version so much. Tracy went with snowflakes for her cards, make sure to check it out! I cut Pretty Peacock with the Leaf Punch and topped that off with Ice Stampin' Glitter for extra holiday sparkle! The flower is cut from the large & small flowers from the Flourish Dies and White Glimmer Paper. More leaves were cut from Whisper White and Pool Party and Bouquet Bunch Dies.

Noble Peacock Foil Blueberry Bushel Christmas

Here is the second in the trio of Noble Peacock Foil Sheet cards. This was was also CASE-d from Pinterest.

~Enjoy!

The background uses the Blueberry Bushel from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets embossed with the Quilted Embossing Folder. The border is cut from Whisper White and one of the Delicate Lace Dies. The sentiment is stamped with Blueberry Bushel and a stamp from my stash. I roughed up the edges a little to give it a little more interest since it was hanging out all by itself away from the focal. The Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon is so pretty with Blueberry Bushel and Whisper White. The envelope is stamped with one of my favorite holiday borders from the Dashing Deer Stamp Set and Blueberry Bushel, so elegant!

I decided to do all 3 card focals the same since I loved the Old Olive version so much. Tracy went with snowflakes for her cards, check it out! Noble Peacock Foil Old Olive Christmas

For the last "card" of the day, Tracy & I picked 2 cards made with the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets to CASE and a third to convert so that we could
1) Use more DSP since we bought so much
2) Use one of each of the colors.
3) Use one of each of the Delicate Lace Dies
These cards are sooo pretty in person!

~Enjoy!

The background uses the Old Olive from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. The sentiment cut from Whisper White and one of the Delicate Lace Dies and then stamped with Granny Apple Green and the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set (I love the fonts in this sentiment). For the ribbon, I  colored the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon with a Pear Pizzazz Blends Marker, I love how the sparkle shows though after coloring it! The envelope is stamped with one of my favorite holiday borders from the Dashing Deer Stamp Set, so elegant!

For the accent pieces, even though it is for Christmas, I decided to stay with floral since I wanted the depth and colors. Tracy went with snowflakes for her cards. I cut some Pear Pizzazz with the Leaf Punch and topped that off with Ice Stampin' Glitter for extra holiday sparkle! The flower is cut from the large & small flowers from the Flourish Dies and White Glimmer Paper. More leaves were cut from Whisper White and Soft Sea Foam and Bouquet Bunch Dies.

See a Silhouette DSP Hexagons

A bonus Tracy day today, we started off with the Tracy See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper since we are trying our best to make sure to use the truckload that we bought!

~Enjoy!

We have been making an attempt to CASE the catalog for ideas, so we found this card on page 132 of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. I was not happy with the irregular cuts of the hexagons, so I decided to go grab my retired Hexagon Punch and cute the hexagons out of the paper & then I could create a uniform mat with white cardstock. The problem with this was that the punch was slightly bigger than the paper I had already cut out & white borders off, but as the pieces were lying on the table I noticed that some of them were upside down & I could not tell the difference between the trimmed white one & the back, so I grabbed some fresh sheets & cut a bunch of random ones. Trying to conserve some of the paper & not just go for the middle of a 12x12 piece of paper, I found it hard to find the deep green options, so this one turned out with the pinks instead, hence the change in background color to Crushed Curry.

The background is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder & the edges scruffed & sponged with Soft Suede. I layered a piece of Vellum over the hexagon border to give a little more definition the the flower sprig cut with White Glimmer Paper and the Well Written Dies. The Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon was colored with a Crumb Cake Blends Marker to soften the bright marigold. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso using the Waterfront Stamp Set and punched out with the retired Tiny Tags Punch (I love this punch it is soooo cute!). The envelope is stamped with Crushed Curry & the For All Things Stamp Set.

See a Silhouette DSP Flower

This card uses the See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper focusing on the large flower. Tracy & I CASE-d the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog on page 132.

~Enjoy!

This one pretty much copied the catalog piece by piece. The one exception I had is I did not have the die to create a fake embossing effect that was used in the original. A few weeks ago I came up with what I thought was an original idea to use a die and just mark the paper & not cut all the way through, creating faux embossing. Whoopsie! I must have subconsciously seen it somewhere else first, oh well. At the time when I was doing this I had created a white on white card base with the Detailed Peacock Dies feather, so for this card I started with a lot of the work already done!  A few fussy cut flowers from the See a Silhouette DSP is layered with the Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. I replaced the "inspire" from the original with "sympathy" from the Well Written Dies. I added a swatch of  Versamark to Basic Black Cardstock and embossing it with Black Embossing Powder and then cut out the words layered on Vellum.

Swirly Frames Christmas Pine Cones

Tracy and I decided to mash up 2 cards Swirly Frames and Christmas Pines Stamp Set and Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies.

~Enjoy!

I have never been a fan of the multi-layer stamping technique, although I find it interesting, none of the cards I have ever seen it done with have blown my socks off, but this was the challenge, so here we go! I cut the white focal piece and adhered it to the white background piece with one removable tape square. I decided to do this on my Stamparatus and I am certainly glad I did, because I did not get one clean stamped image, while Tracy had no problem at all with her card. After I stamped all of the Swirly Frames with Merry Merlot, I removed the white focal and matted it with more Merry Merlot, this is where the magic comes in, the mat hides the very small gap between the focal & background giving the illusion that you stamped all 3 layers at once!

The pine cones were cut with the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies and Copper Glimmer Paper from the Myths & Magic Paper Pack and Early Espresso. The pines were cut with the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets. The  Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon was colored with a Pear Pizzazz Blends Marker as well as coloring some rhinestones to match. The sentiment was stamped with the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set and  Black StayzOn on the Noble Peacock Foil and it was very hard, it was super slippery and smudged easily! The envelope is decorated with the Christmas Pines Stamp Set, Soft Suede and Pear Pizzazz.

Abstract Impressions Christmas Wreath

Today with Tracy we used a #pinspiration for this cute little wreath using the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set.

~Enjoy!

We decided on some almost traditional colors for this card with Merry Merlot and Shaded Spruce. The lighter shades are done by stamping off the original imprint before stamping on the card. For just winging the placement of the wreath, I think it came out pretty even around. The sentiment is done in Memento Black using the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set. I used the Shaded Spruce Blends Marker to color the Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon and layered that with some Silver Mini Sequin Trim. The flowers in the wreath are then topped with rhinestones to give it a little more Christmas sparkle!

Bird Ballad meets Sketch Challenge

Tracy had a sketch challenge to submit, and since we both had recently bought a ton of DSP we decided to focus on using some of it up! The rules were at least 3 to 4 pieces of DSP and the sketch!

~Enjoy!

The background and 2 strips of paper are cut from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper as well as the little bird. The background, strips and sentiment are all roughed up with a scissor edge & inked in Calypso Coral. The horizontal strip is embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder and sponged over the top with more Calypso Coral. The sentiment is from the Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set. The white & silver sprigs are done with the Flourish Dies and topping off the whole thing is a bow made with Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon. This ended up being my favorite card of the day, even though I am not a huge fan of Calypso Coral. Here was the #pinspiration!

CASE-ing Wonderful Moments

Another craft day with my friend Tracy, today we decided to CASE the catalog image on page 15 of the 2019-2020 Annual Stampin' Up! catalog!

~Enjoy!

Since neither one of us had a light wood background (I later discovered the paper on the original is from Come Sail Away DSP - which we both DID have) she chose the paper from Pressed Petals & I grabbed the envelope liner for the October 2019 Winter Woods Paper Pumpkin. The background is loads of technique. First I added additional Early Espresso ink randomly to give t just a little more depth. Then I gave the backside a little spritz of water & very carefully scrunched up the paper. I let that dry for a minute before cutting it into 6 equally sized planks. I then adhered those to white cardstock to give it some weight & the scruffed up the edges with my scissors. These are all layered a little wonky on a background of Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper & Early Espresso.

The sentiment is a little more work, after stamping with Pear Pizzazz and the Wonderful Moments Stamp Set and a Happy Birthday from my stash, I roughed up the edges again on this piece, then I pressed Crumb Cake lid into its own ink pad, gathered up the ink with an Aqua Painter & using the lid, flicked the background with some soft dots of color. One more thing of special not, I colored the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon with a Cherry Cobbler Blends Maker to get the Rich Razzleberry ribbon with sparkle, so pretty!

CASE-ing Noble Peacock and DSP

Last card for the day, we decided to CASE another card from the annual catalog & we got to use more DSP! This one CASE-s the little box on page 25.

~Enjoy!

The background uses the Noble Peacock Designer Series Paper layered over a few strips of Gold Glimmer Paper. The oval is cut from the Layering Ovals Dies. I cut various amounts of twigs from the Detailed Peacock Dies and the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets as well as some card stock ones with Blueberry Bushel, Pretty Peacock, Whisper White and Old Olive. I made the bow with the Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon and the Light Pretty Peacock Blends Marker. The sentiment is stamped with Pretty Peacock and Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set.

After I had the card done, I shared it with Tracy & she suggested to add some more white springs to brighten the card up, which it certainly did!

Brightly Gleaming DSP Easy Layout

Tracy had a layout that she was interested in replicating and we were focused for the day on using DSP, so we came up with these!

~Enjoy!

The background uses the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper, with it's copper foil is it so pretty in person! It is layered on a few strips of Copper Glimmer Paper from the retired Myths and Magic Glimmer Paper (no need to waste all of the inside by directly layering over a whole sheet! This is then sitting on top of a card base of Very Vanilla. To build the focal I raided my supply of ribbon, but what I found was this micro-wire mesh in a light tan with a very faint gold thread running through it I bought from Target years ago, this could be substituted with Cheesecloth. The pinecones and envelope elements are from the retired Christmas Pines Bundle but you could also use Peaceful Boughs Bundle. The sentiment is stamped with Soft Suede and the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set. The whole thing is topped off with a knot I had laying in my discard pile made with Delightful Dijon Mini Striped Ribbon. Make sure to check out Tracy's card!

I had a ton of leftover paper after I disassembled the bag I made at the Quarterly NC Demo day (I tend to not do or keep 3D items, I really screwed up the assembly at the event, and at the time I had no intention to buy the paper pack) which was laying on my table in the corner, so I grabbed that & came up with this alternative! I fussy cut some ornaments on the left, they show up much better in person and the sentiment is embossed with Copper Embossing Powder and the Tags Tags Tags Bundle. The Whisper White & Copper Baker's Twine is from a past Paper Pumpkin kit. The envelope stamp is from my stash and stamped in Mossy Meadow.
